FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PEOPLE, NEW PANTHERS HONOR RAMARLEY GRAHAM'S 19TH BIRTHDAY!
 CONTINUE TO PRESS FOR JUSTICE!
On Thurs., April 12th, the family and friends of Ramarley Graham, the New Black Panther Party and others, will rally and march to observe what would have been Graham's 19th birthday.
Participants will assemble at 5pm at 749 E 229th Street in the Bronx, between White Plains Road and Barnes Avenue, where Graham lived and ultimately died.
Graham was shot to death on February 2nd in front of his grandmother and six year old brother. Police officers suspected that Graham may have had some marijuana in his possession when they followed him home, barged into his apartment and ultimately shot him to death in his own bathroom.
"Since when does possession of some weed amount to a capital offense," asked an angry Zayid Muhammad, a national party official who has been challenging human rights forces around the country to forge a national united front against police brutality.
"Even if young Ramarley had some in his possession, you arrest him, or give  him a summons if what he had was small, but you don't shot him down like a dog in front of him family like that," he continued.
While the Trayvon Martin case has gotten the national media spotlight, this case has generated a number of sizeable protests on its own.
Graham's parents and supporters have had a rally and march every Thursday for the past several weeks.
This Thursday's rally, in addition to observing Graham's birthday, will be the fourth of what will ultimately be 18 weekly rallies, for each of Graham's 18 years.

On Sat., April 21st, Muhammad will 'ride' down to Washington for a 'Freedom Ride for the Cuban 5!'
The Freedom Ride for the Cuban Five is a bus caravan going to Washington to dramatize the injustice of the continued plight of the Cuban Five, five Cuban nationals who uncovered a terrorist plot to attack Cuba from here in the United States only to have federal authorities, in an obscene perversion of justice, turn around and charge them for seditious activity.
For buses leaving out of New York City, please call 718 601 4751…
On Tues., April 24th, Muhammad will participate in Occupy The Justice Department for Mumia Abu Jamal.
