Your Experience will be curated my Master Instructor Yirser Ra Hotep, who has over 45 years experience as a teacher, facilitator, leader, creator and innovator.
Yirser holds a master degree in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago, has taught courses in Stress Management, Yogic Science, Research Methods, Ancient Science and Philosophical Systems, Cultural Diversity and the African American Family and Genealogy at DePaul University in Chicago.
He has served as an administrator in the Child Welfare System of the state of Illinois, Program Director for Therapeutic Group Homes for Boys Diagnosed with Behavior Disorders, Director of Mentoring Services for the Village Investment Project. Yirser has created award winning Yoga for Children programs for many agencies in Chicago including Easter Seals, Centers for New Horizons, Kids Hope United and many more. He has acted as a consultant in Stress Management and Wellness for the Chicago Urban League, Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, Cook Country Juvenile Detention Center, University of Chicago Hospitals, Chicago Mercantile Exchange among other public and private sector organizations.
Through YogaSkills School of Kemetic Yoga, Yirser has trained and certified over 5,000 instructors in Kemetic Yoga all over the world, curated Soul Yoga Fest, a free festival of Yoga in Chciago, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Kingston Jamaica, Paris France, Johannesburg South Africa, Kansas City with Gambia West Africa on the docket for June 2020. Yirser has been recognized by the Black Yoga Teacher Alliance for his decades of service to the African American, African and Diaspora Community and has been featured in Black Enterprise, Ebony Magazine, Jet Magazine, Yoga Journal and on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
