In our 35th Anniversary Year, KowTeff is filled with pride and excitement to be honored with a Community Builder Award by Assemblymember Stefani L. Zinerman at “The Vibrant 56: Legacy Lives — Celebration, Connection & Collective Stewardship.” This special evening celebrates the people, institutions, and cultural traditions that shape Central Brooklyn and the 56th Assembly District, and we’re honored to stand among them in this milestone year. For 35 years, KowTeff has poured love, culture, history, and community into Brooklyn. Tonight, we join an incredible group of leaders whose work you’ve felt, seen, and benefited from — all gathering in one room. Come be part of it!
This free event brings neighbors together with the organizations sustaining Bed-Stuy and North Crown Heights. Explore their work, ask questions, exchange information, and connect with the people building our collective future.
In our 35th year, this recognition means so much. We’re celebrating legacy, honoring community, and stepping boldly into the next chapter — together. Invite a neighbor and come discover what’s possible when Central Brooklyn shows up for one another. Wednesday, October 21, 2026 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Boys and Girls High School 1700 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, NY |
