Cuba needs us. Two initiatives you can join to support.

Our Cuban siblings need our support in these urgent times.

As you may already know, the Trump administration is attempting to induce famine in Cuba through its latest “emergency” Executive Order, which prevents Cuba, an island nation from importing oil or any energy sources needed for survival. This cynical and cruel policy aims to manufacture human suffering and distract from domestic issues. And it serves as a precursor to further aggression, as we’ve seen in Venezuela.

We want to share two interconnected initiatives to build solidarity with the Cuban people and resist the inhumane policies targeting their very existence. Together, these efforts provide an opportunity to deepen our collective impact and stand in unwavering support of our neighbors in Cuba.

Delegation to Cuba: March 19–24, 2026

IFCO is bringing together a delegation of community and faith leaders to participate in a 5-day program to deliver humanitarian aid to hospital and churches, engage in exchanges with Cuban people and faith communities, and participate in educational and cultural events.

Spots are limited. If you are interested in participating, please fill out this application.

National Education and Fundraising Campaign

Many Movements, One Struggle: From ICE to Blockades

In addition to the delegation, we are launching a regional event series—a National Education and Fundraising Campaign designed to connect grassroots struggles across the U.S. with the resilience of the Cuban people and the solidarity movement to end the U.S. blockade.

We will host community-centered events in five U.S. regions: the West Coast, East Coast, Midwest, the South, and the Mountain & Plains region.

While each event will be tailored to its community, the broader theme is “Many Movements, One Struggle: From ICE to Blockades.” Programming may include sermons, lectures, forums, panels, and cultural events.

In addition to education, these events will help raise funds for urgent humanitarian aid for Cuba. Our goal is to raise funds to purchase solar panels and batteries that will provide electricity to hospitals, directly addressing the energy crisis exacerbated by Trump’s policies.

Please reply to this email or email education@ifconews.org if you are an organization or congregation able to host an event. We recognize that communities are deeply involved in local struggles, and our intent is to engage with and contribute to strengthening these struggles as we share information on the need to build solidarity with Cuba. The IFCO team will support event planning and provide promotional materials. As a host, you would provide your venue and help us connect with your community and networks through any type of event most appropriate for your community: a forum, service, cultural event, lecture, or something else. We can't wait to hear from you!

Additional Ways to Support

If you cannot travel with us or host an event, here are other ways to get involved:

  • Donate to IFCO. Help us get urgent humanitarian aid to Cuba.
  • Advocate! Talk to others about the brutality of Trump’s increased aggression on Cuba. Call your representatives and demand they support McGovern’s bill to end the U.S. embargo on Cuba.

Whatever way we each can contribute, we should do. Join us in standing with our neighbors.

Solidarity in struggle,
